On Wednesday 2/8/1435 AH, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has received at Al-Yamamah Palace HE the President of the Human Rights Commission, Dr. Bandar bin Mohammed Al-Aiban, the President of the National Society for Human Rights, Dr. Mufleh bin Rubiean Al-Qahtani and a number of senior officials and men and women interested in human rights from government and private sectors.

At the outset of the reception, they all listened to a recitation of verses from the Holy Quran.

Then, HE the President of the Human Rights Commission, Dr. Bandar bin Mohammed Al-Aiban, has delivered a speech highlighting that the Kingdom is proud since it was founded by late King Abdul-Aziz bin Abdurrahman of the application of the provisions of the tolerant Islamic Sharia, which emphasizes the principles and noble values that safeguard the man’s dignity and protect his rights.

For his part, the President of the National Society for Human Rights, Dr. Mufleh Rubaian Al-Qahtani has delivered a speech in which he expressed thanks and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for his supporting and attention accorded to them.

He also pointed to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdul-Aziz Al Saud’s efforts to take care of citizens and residents and save their rights. Here is the speech:

Their Highnesses and Excellencies and virtue… Distinguished Guests… May the peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you

 On my own name and on behalf of the members and employees of the National Society for Human Rights, I would like to express our thanks and appreciation for the support that we have received and that we are receiving from your Majesty, your Crown Prince and the Deputy Crown Prince concerning the human rights issues in our country. Your Majesty, God bless you, has been the best support for human rights during ruling the Riyadh region as you have asserted on the principle of accountability and commitment through following the regulations and instructions which highlighted the importance of respecting everyone’s rights and the need to meet them.

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, your long experience in the field of political and administrative work, and being near to the citizens’ concerns have allowed your highness to constitute a historic and great achievements in the brief period in which you take the reins of power of this blessed country and which have contributed in protecting and promoting the human rights. Moreover, the cancellation and integration of some committees and councils as well as the establishment of a Council for the political and security affairs and another for the economic affairs and development, have their impact in promoting the transparency measures and reducing the bureaucracy that harm the rights of citizens.  These decisions will contribute in summarizing the procedures to ensure the preservation of rights, and to protect and fulfill the requirements of sustainable development.

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, the world has witnessed your Highness personal interaction with some of the citizens’ issues at the local level, and at the external level came the right decision for forming the international coalition and launching the firmness storm in order to save the Yemeni people’s rights and protect its security and stability. Afterwards, there was the Operation Restore Hope in order to help the Yemeni people whose rights were violated by a class of their own people who accepted to be driven by the foreign hands.

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, your decision, for establishing and supporting  King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Center, stems from the teachings of our Islamic religion, which require helping the needy and preserving the  human life, rights, dignity and health. Besides, your highness decision confirms the leading humanitarian role of Saudi Arabia and its global mission in this field and proves your patronage for the humanitarian action and for maintaining the human rights. Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, May Allah best reward you for the efforts that you are doing and protect you for your blessed country and the humanity, peace and God’s mercy and blessings be upon you. “
