On Monday 24/04/2017, the Chairman of the Society, Dr. Mufleh Rabiean Al-Qahtani, has participated with a working paper entitled “Enhancing the role of civil society institutions and their relationship with governmental institutions concerned with human rights” which was held at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council in the presence of  Dr. Abdul Latif bin Rashid Al Zayani and a number of specialists and officials in the GCC countries, as well as those interested in human rights issues.  Dr. Mufleh has participated with a working paper addressed a number of axes:

1- The concept of civil society institutions.

2- The establishment of civil society institutions in the GCC countries and their development.

3 – The types of civil society organizations in the GCC countries.

4 – The relationship of civil society institutions in the GCC States to governments and society.

5 – The role of civil society institutions in the social, political and economic development in the GCC countries and the functions that they can perform.

6 – The obstacles that faces the work of civil society organizations in the GCC countries

  1. Recommendations to be taken to help civil society organizations contribute effectively to Gulf societies.
