On Tuesday, 8/8/1436 AH – 26/5/2015 AD, a delegation from High Commissioner for Human Rights (UNHCR) has visited the Society and was welcomed by HE Dr. Mufleh Rubaian Al Qahtani, the Chairman of the Society and Mr. Khaled Al-Fakhri, the Secretary-General of the Society. The delegation includes Mr. Farid Hamdan, the Coordinator of the Technical Cooperation Project of the UNHCR, and Mr. Renault Dital, the Acting Regional Representative of the UNHCR in the Middle East. At the beginning of the meeting, HE the Chairman of the Society has given them a brief explanation regarding the Society’s activities, its contribution in spreading the human rights culture and its mechanism. Besides, they have shed light on the ways of cooperation between the High Commissioner for Human Rights and the National Society for Human Rights in the field of rehabilitation and training of workers in the field of human rights and they have also discussed the ways of taking advantage of the memorandum of understanding signed between the UNHCR and the Human Rights Commission in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. At the end of the meeting, the visiting delegation has thanked the presidency of the Society for its warm reception.
