The Council of Ministers has reaffirmed the Kingdom’s commitment regarding the promotion and protection of human rights depending on its approach which bases on the Islamic law (Sharia) that necessitated the protection of human rights and the prevention of its violation. For more illustration, it should balance between the individual and society’s interests asserting that the security, stability and prosperity are the main factors in its civil procession for sustained development respecting human rights and protecting it. This is through promulgating the laws and regulations, establishing governmental institutions and supporting the civil society institutions.

Besides, the Chairman of the Society has stressed that the human rights’ protection in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is a one of the fixed and basic approach urged by the Islamic law.  Moreover, it is a key pillar in the agenda of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdul-Aziz and this was highlighted when he was the governor of Al-Riyadh as he was from the first supporters of the National Society for Human Rights and of any case related to human rights.
