The National Society for Human Rights has criticized the report of the UN Special Rapporteur on Extrajudicial Executions regarding the death of Jamal Khashoggi, describing it as a biased and incredible report.

The Chairman of the Society, Dr. Mufleh Rabian al-Qahtani, has said that the report loses its credibility and that its political motives are clear. For more illustration, the Saudi authorities are arresting those who are accused and bringing them to justice and sending them to trial after completing the investigation procedures in the presence of foreign rights and diplomats.

Besides, he has said that this report will not help in achieving the human rights , but it is an attempt to reduce the efforts, exerted by the Saudi authorities, which have resulted in arresting the persons involved in this case and bringing them to justice as well as restructuring the administrative body responsible for them. He has also asserted that the indictments filed by the Public Prosecution demand to impose the most severe penalties against those who committed this heinous crime.

The Chairman of the Society has also confirmed that the trials of the accused in this case are ongoing and that they will be punished, and that everyone, including the United Nations Special Rapporteurs, is expected to respect the independence and sovereignty of the judiciary. He has also aseerted that the Society was keen to attend such trials and that there are diplomatic representatives from the embassies of some countries also attend them.. Finally, there is keenness from the Saudi authorities to take justice into account and to hold accountable all those who participated in this crime.
