The National Society for Human Rights has strongly condemned the terrorist and criminal act, that has taken place on Thursday 21/10/1436 AH, which has targeted the Emergency Special Force’s Mosque in Asir and has resulted in the martyrdom of a number of security men and wounding several others. The Chairman of the Society, HE Dr. Mufleh Rubaian Al Qahtani, has stressed that such an act shows that those who carried out and stood behind these acts have violated the law of Allah Almighty, the right to life, and the establishment of the religious rituals. Besides, it has targeted the persons who are responsible for the preservation of the right to security which is one of the most important human rights. Hence, this requires that all the citizens and residents should stand together with the State to combat and eradicate the roots of such thoughts which have become a threat to everyone, without exception, through making the legitimate nation’s constants targets for their shameful work which does not relate to Islam. Moreover, the Society is confident that the competent security authorities are able, God willing, to bring those who stand behind these acts to justice to be punished and asks Allah to protect our country from all harm and to accept the deceased martyrs. It also expresses its deep sympathy and condolences to the families of the victims and wishes the injured speedy recovery.
