On Wednesday, June 26, 2019, the Director General of Prisons, Major General Mohammad Al Asmari, has invited the Chairman of the Society, Dr. Mufleh Al Qahtani, to launch a number of reform and rehabilitation programs for the General Directorate of Prisons, which were held under the patronage of His Highness the Interior Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud. The Chairman has praised the support of His Highness the Minister of the Interior for these programs, including the launching of the second phase of “Furijat” initiative releasing detainees from financial debts. In addition, His Highness has announced that the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques has denoted ten million riyals for this program, the Crown Prince has denoted five million riyals and His Highness two million riyals.

Besides, the Chairman of the Society has stressed on the importance of the interaction between the philanthropists, lovers of philanthropy and businessmen with this campaign because of its humanitarian effects on the prisoner and his family.
