On Monday 22-12-1436 AH, Ambassador Adam Kolakh, Head of Delegation of the European Union to the Kingdom, accompanied by Ms. Lucia Manrique, Political Affairs and Human Rights Responsible in the Delegation, have visited the National Society for Human Rights. The Chairman of the Society has welcomed the visitors and has discussed a number of topics related to human rights, some other individual cases, the issue of Syrian refugees and the Israeli attacks in the city of Jerusalem. Moreover, he has pointed out that the legal and judicial mechanisms of action in the Kingdom enable the accused of expressing their defenses and the mechanisms of getting the pardon in the public right cases have its systemic procedures. Besides, he has highlighted the Kingdom’s role in hosting millions of Syrian refugees and correcting the situation of hundreds of thousands of Yemeni expatriate. They have also discussed how the European countries dealt with the issue of the Syrian refugees and how it led to political and human rights problems. Furthermore, they have shed light on the human rights aspects concerning the actions of the Israeli Government regarding the demolition of the homes of some families and the repeated attacks on the Al-Aqsa Mosque. The meeting was attended by: Mr. Khaled Al Fakhri, the Secretary-General of the Society,  Mr. Ahmed Al Mahmoud, the Secretary of the Chairman and Dr. Faisal bin Mo’aed  Al Samir, the Counselor of the Training Section in the Society.
