The Chairman of the National Society for Human Rights, Dr. Mufleh Al-Qahtani has participated in the workshop that was organized by the Ministry of Labour and Social Development entitled “the List of Rights and Duties for Orphans” in the social houses under the auspices of the Minister of Labour and Social Development, Dr. Moufarrej bin Saad Hagbani and at the presence of the Deputy Minister for Family and Social Welfare, Dr. Abdullah Almaiql, along with a number of ministry officials in Riyadh.

The Chairman of the Society has asserted on the importance of the rehabilitation of the orphans who are living in the social houses so as to be productive members in the society and this is through applying the general objectives of the list of the rights and duties for orphans in social houses. He has also added that the right of orphans in the entertainment is a necessity in order to discover their skills and developing them.

Besides, the Deputy Minister for Social Welfare has emphasized on the importance of the rights of the orphans, and sought to improve all services provided to them in order to qualify them as productive members in the society.

He added saying that that the ministry has developed a clear and precise vision for the rules of rights and duties to its orphan children and he emphasized on the importance of holding training courses and workshops for those who work in the social houses in order to ensure the presence of qualified personnel.

Moreover, the workshop has discussed the rules and regulations of the social welfare and the list of rights and duties, including the psychological, social, educational and health rights of the orphan people of the ministry as well as the rights of the human shelter. They have also discussed the obligations of the residents of the ministry orphan people in the houses toward their religion and themselves and toward the others, in addition to their commitment within the social houses and outside them as well as towards the nation.
