The National Society for Human Rights in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has welcomed the adoption of the decision by the United Nations General Assembly of considering the fifteenth of March of every single year as the international day to combat “Islamophobia”. The National Society for Human Rights has considered it an important step to reject hate speech, racism, intolerance, and extremism.

The Chairman of the Society Counselor Khalid Abdul Rahman Al-Fakhri has also asserted that this decision will contribute to spreading the culture of tolerance and moderation in the world to enjoy greater security and prosperity, as well as addressing the danger of incitement to hatred, discrimination and violence. It also confirms the pivotal role played by the Kingdom in enhancing the dialogue between religions and civilizations, as well as promoting a culture of tolerance, coexistence and moderation, and preserving human rights from any abuses.
