The Chairman of the Society, Dr. Mufleh Rabiean Al-Qahtani, has explained the attitude of the National Society for Human Rights to the implementation of the sentences against 47 convicts saying that the Society always demands the reference of the convicts on terrorism issues to justice, and to pronounce sentences on them according to their crimes as well as having a fair trial. Regarding those convicts, the day has come to carry out the sentences that were issued against them and which enjoys the following:

-    The sentenced have undergone three levels of litigation.

-    Examining the sentences of each convict carefully.

-    Giving the convict his right to hire a lawyer.

-    The trials are public.

-    The sentences have shown the gravity of the crimes committed by each convict.

-    The sentences did not consider the sectarian or ethnic affiliation of the accused but the crimes committed by them.

-    The victims of the terrorist acts, that were committed by those convicts, deserve justice from the perpetrators who killed and terrorized.

-    All the crimes attributed to the convicts are serious, which force carrying the maximum penalties.

Moreover, he adds saying that the protection of human rights of terrorist acts requires the establishment of the state duties in maintaining the security of the society and the preservation of public and private property and these are through deterring those who commit these acts by imposing the maximum penalties on them after bringing them to judiciary and undergo a fair trial.
