The National Society for Human Rights emphasizes the importance of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s speech before the United Nations International Meeting on the Question of Palestine and appeals the countries and human rights organizations to interact in order to enable the Palestinian people of their rights. It  is worth mentioning that the Kingdom has asserted in her speech that the establishment of Israeli settlements is the main obstacle to the peace process in the region and that the continuation of the Israeli provocative acts against the Palestinians and the implementation of unilateral measures create a new reality on the ground through arming and funding the settlers and increases the destruction processes and the random demolition and confiscation of homes and property, farms as well as unjustly establishing settlements on those lands.

In addition, it appeals the international community to assume its responsibilities and take the necessary measures to protect the Palestinian people from the Israeli aggressive actions which are considered a provocation of the Arabs and Muslims feelings and a flagrant violation to the most basic human rights, and threaten achieving a comprehensive, just and lasting peace in the Middle East.

Besides, it has called for the implementation of the Security Council resolutions 465 (1980) and 497 (1981), which affirmed the illegality of the settlements as well as the necessity to dismantle them, remove the separation wall and stop all “Judaization” measures in Jerusalem. It has also stressed that the Palestinian people face the risk of losing the rest of its occupied territory through the continuation of constructing Israeli settlements that threaten their existence as well as constructing the separation wall and the operations of the Judaization of Jerusalem. In addition, their attempts to divide Al-Aqsa Mosque, mass arrests and attempts to move some offices to the occupied city of Jerusalem, the so-called the Jerusalem plan 2020, which are considered procedures and violations of the rights of the Palestinian people that are illegal under international law.
