On Wednesday, 10/01/1435 , corresponding to 11/14/2013 AD, Mr. Lionel Veer, the Human Rights Ambassador in the Dutch Foreign Ministry , accompanied by Mr. Lawrence and Esthov, the  Ambassador of Netherlands to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as well as Mr. Willem van cliché, the adviser and deputy of the mission. They were met by His Excellency the Chairman of the National Society for Human Rights , Dr. Mufleh bin Rabiean Qahtani  and the Vice President of the Society , Dr. Saleh bin Mohammed Khathlan. At the beginning of the meeting, the Chairman of the Society has given a brief summary concerning the activities of the Society and its contribution in spreading the human rights culture as well as the remarkable progress in the human rights’ field in the Kingdom especially in the field of woman and child’s rights. They have also talked about the evolution of the Kingdom in organizing the conditions of the migrant workers as it  has been issued recently a list organizing the conditions of the domestic workers. He has also said that the Society is following up the correction campaigns and the human rights’ situation. Besides, he is demanding from the embassies of the expatriate labor to provide their identification papers and what is necessary to facilitate their deportation. They have also shed light on the security prisoners issue as the Bureau of Investigation and Prosecution has followed-up the investigation with them and has facilitated the communication between them and their families through the website. Besides, both  parties have stressed on the importance of exchanging the views concerning the matters relating to human rights in general. The Society has also raised the Dutch situation concerning the human rights violations occurring in Syria now , and those that have occurred in the occupied Palestinian territories. At the end of the meeting,  the visiting delegation has thanked the presidency of the Society for the warm reception.

The meeting was attended, from the Society’s side, by the Secretary-General –designate, adviser Khalid bin Abdul Rahman al-Fakhiri, the member of the Society,  Abdul-Aziz Huneidi , and the secretary of the Chairman of the Society , Mr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Mahmoud as well as Mr. Mohamed bin Nasser, from the Human Rights Commission.
