On Wednesday 16/6/1438 AH, Senior Desk Office of the Saudi Arabia Team Mr. Daniel Rothberg and the Director of the Information and Press Office at the British Embassy in Riyadh Mr. Salah Taha have visited the National Society for Human Rights (NSHR) and were welcomed by its Chairman Dr. Mufleh Rabiean Al- Qahtani. At the beginning of the meeting, HE the Chairman of the Society has given the delegation a brief explanation regarding the Society’s activities and its contribution in spreading the human rights culture as well as the human rights’ remarkable progress in the Kingdom and the efforts exerted for its enhancement. He has also discussed the human rights issues in the Kingdom and the efforts of the Society in this field. Besides, they have shed light on the issues raised in Britain against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia especially those related to events in Yemen. The guest has stressed that the British government’s view is identical with the Saudi government’s view and in particular regarding the negative role played by Iran in the region. In addition, the Chairman of the Society has stressed the keenness of the coalition forces, especially the Saudi Air Force to abide by the rules of international humanitarian law in Yemen. The meeting was attended by the Secretary General of the Society Mr. Khalid Abdulrahman Al Fakhri and the Secretary of the Chairman of the Society Mr. Ahmed Mohammed Al Mahmoud.
