The development that the Kingdom is witnessing in the human rights file has achieved important transformations in a number of fields

Counselor Khaled Abdul Rahman Al-Fakhri, the Chairman of the National Society for Human Rights, has extended his sincere congratulations and blessings to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz , to His Royal Highness Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, may God protect them, and to the honorable Saudi people on the occasion of the 92nd National Day of our dear country, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, we pray to God Almighty to perpetuate its security and stability. 

Moreover, Al-Fakhri has explained that the Kingdom has achieved important transformations in a number of areas that have had an impact on improving human rights. For more illustration, the Kingdom has issued new regulations and introduced qualitative amendments to a number of regulations related to the protection and promotion of human rights. There is no doubt that the development witnessed by the Kingdom concerning the human rights file has accomplished after pioneering reform steps in the era of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and with the follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense – may God protect them .  Besides, no one can deny the remarkable improvement in the Kingdom’s classification in a number of global indicators related to human rights and that reflects and asserts the Kingdom’s keenness and interest in promoting the rights of everyone who lives in the Kingdom; whether a citizen or resident without discrimination. It also reflects its keenness to create a safe environment that achieves a decent life in accordance with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, which programs included many areas of human rights: such as the right to life, the right to security, the right to health, the right to education, the right to work, family protection and empowerment women, safeguarding the rights of the elderly and other areas of human rights. 

Furthermore, Counselor Al-Fakhri has confirmed that these developments contributed to decrease the number of cases received by the National Society for Human Rights compared to previous years. This in fact confirms the positive impact of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 on improving human rights conditions in general, as the vision’s goals are not devoid of direct or indirect links to human rights as translated in a number of programs, initiatives and organizational procedures. 

Finally, the Chairman of the National Society for Human Rights has ended his speech saying that the celebration of the 92nd National Day is an important occasion to strengthen national cohesion, reject division and difference, enhance the protection and promotion of human rights in our country, spread awareness of its culture among citizens and officials, and achieve cooperation and joint coordination for the good and progress of our country and society in light of cohesion and solidarity among the people and leadership.
