In 1993, the General Assembly of the United Nations has proclaimed, with a resolution, the 15^th of May to be the international day for families so as to remind the countries and all the formal and informal organizations of the importance of raising the family’s awareness which form the nucleus of the community, and to provide assistance and protection in order to handle their responsibilities of developing strong interrelated generations.

Besides, the Muslim family is supposed to have the highest noble meanings exhorted by our religion. The Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques was keen to preserve the family by laws and care in order to provide the necessary guarantees for its development and it was also keen to protect the family financially and morally.

The Chairman has also stressed the importance of the Saudi family adherence to the social, cultural and Islamic tenets of the Muslim family in the face of the economic and social changes. In addition, he has asserted the importance of fighting poverty as being the most important challenge that faces the family at the mean time in order to guarantee reaching a high level standard of living and education to all society members and will enable it to face the challenges that are imposed by the modern media.

Moreover, he has highlighted the importance of raising the family members on the human rights culture that achieves the balance and integration of the society. To illustrate, the family has an important role in spreading the human rights culture through instilling the principles of acceptance and participation as well as promoting the tolerance values. Furthermore, the moral deviation can be faced by the correct Islamic upbringing, having a role model to look up to, and respecting the laws and regulations.

The Chairman has also assures that there are exerted efforts to make social aware programs to inform and educate all the society members through the cooperation between many relevant organizations. In addition, he referred to the issuance of the”|protection against abuse system” and its implementing regulations since its implementation will help in reducing the domestic violence among the family.
