The National Society for Human Rights, at its headquarters in Riyadh, has signed a memorandum of understanding with King Abdulaziz Center for National Dialogue aiming for cooperation and coordination in several fields. The agreement has included areas of common cooperation between the two parties, the most prominent of which came the following:

1- Promoting the values ​​of national cohesion and coexistence and the culture of community dialogue.

2- Benefiting from the experiences of the employees of both parties and their publications in coordination with each other and according to the regulations governing this.

3- Exchanging research results, cooperating in training and preparing studies that serve the objectives of the two parties with regard to the subject of the memorandum in accordance with the regulations governing this.

4- Holding community events and activities, and the participation of employees of the second party in local, regional and international forums that enhance national awareness and consolidate the values ​​of community cohesion.

5- Activating relevant global days related to the terms of reference of the two parties, including the International Day.

This agreement was signed on the part of the National Society for Human Rights, by His Excellency Counselor Khalid bin Abdul Rahman Al-Fakhri, the Chairman of the Society, and on the part of the King Abdulaziz Center for National Dialogue, by His Excellency Mr. Ibrahim Al-Asiri, Deputy Secretary-General of the Center.

Besides, His Excellency the Chairman of the National Society for Human Rights has stated that the Society seeks to establish more partnerships with government institutions and civil society organizations that are active in its field, in a way that contributes to achieve the objectives of the Society and supporting targeted programs in the society.

In addition, His Excellency also indicated that signing the memorandum of understanding with the King Abdulaziz Center for National Dialogue is one of the strategic cooperation, which we look forward to contribute in studying the issues of the community issues, opening the door to dialogue, amending some concepts, spreading awareness of human rights and what was stipulated in the regulations of the Kingdom, which included many rights for individuals. For more illustration, the awareness of these rights will contribute to the knowledge of individuals about the rights stipulated by the regulations. The agreement with the Dialogue Center will contribute in establishing scientific forums and seminars in the field of competence of the two sides, in addition to shedding light on what was issued from the modern regulations and holding many training workshops and awareness lectures in the field of human rights.

From the Society’s side, the signing ceremony of the memorandum of understanding was attended by:

1- Dr. Tarish bin Muslim Al-Shammari, Vice Chairman of the Society.

2- Dr. Wafaa Bint Mahmoud Taibah, Vice Chairman of the Creative Family Association.

3- Dr. Ibrahim bin Abdullah Al-Anqari, Society’s member.

4- Dr. Ibrahim bin Hamad Al-Qaed, Society’s member.

5- Dr. Saleh bin Mohammed Al-Khathlan, Society’s member.

6- Dr. Mufleh bin Rabian Al-Qahtani, Society’s member.

7- Dr. Noura bint Abdullah Al-Ajlan, Society’s member.

8- Mr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Mahmoud, Secretary of the Society’s  Chairman.
